I would like additional tools most of us are familiar with in Audacity or other sound editing programs Like ProTools or Ableton Live to manipulate the audio (microphone and internal) more directly on the 'sound bar'. For example, being able to grab the end of the audio and 'trim it'. Or being able to click on a selection of the audio and separate it for further trim, or to move the section around. There is currently a 'slider' function that can accomplish this, but further steps must be taken to exclude one of the audio tracks and/or the video track.

Perhaps it is worth to introduce even a simple editor sound track? With the possibility of removing noise using parametric equalizer or another technique. Of course, the possibility of sound track treatment in an external program can be helpful - like in Benny's comment.

You can do this by using tools in Timeline (the window at the bottom). These tools act similar to the ones in Audacity.
